An interesting ever: • ? yesterday
was the marriage of , .ss Ada Wil
liams and Mr. Harry F.ertson which
occurred at five o’cldi:. in the after-
licpn }.t the Presbyterian Churci
The ceremony was performed by the
pastor, Rev. R. A. Drown. Miss
Williams and Mr. Roberts are both
well known and very popular in the
city.
The church was beautifully decorat
ed for the occasion with potted ferns
and palm-s and cut flowers. The altar
was a perfect bank of cut flowers and
ferns.
The bride entered with her maid of
honor, Miss Maud Williams. Follow
ing them were the other attendants,
Miss Clyde Lott and Miss Stella Wil
liams. Two wedding marches were
flayed with Miss Ernestine Purdom
at the piano and Miss Marlon Wil
Hams and Mr. Walter Lott violin ac
companlsts. The groom entered with
his best man, Mr. Arthur Knight, Jr.
meeting the bride at the altar. The
other attendants were Mr. L. B. Har
rell and Mr. Reginald Porter.
Lewis L. Harvard and S. Clark Houk,
Jr., were ushers.
A handsome coat suit of peacock
blue with hat to match was worn by
the bride, this being her going away
costume. The maid of honor and
bridesmaids wore pretty coat suits of
vhlte serge with black picture hats.
The bride’s bouquet was of bride 1
roses. The other attendants of the
bride carried bouquets of Marechal
Neil roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Robertson were the re-
clpltents of a large number of very
handsome presents. An elegant re
ception was given at the home of the
bride’s mother, after which Mr. and
Mrs. Robertson left on a visit
North Carolina.

Mr. Carl M. Nungezer, of this city,
and Miss Pauline Russell, of Douglas,
were united in marriage last night by
Judge W. A. McDonald at his resi
dence on Albany avenue. Th6"T>ride
is the daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. John
Russell former residents of Waycross.
Mr. Nungezer is quite well known in
Waycross, and he and bride have the
best wishes of their friends for a long
and happy life.
Mr. D. B. Raybon and daughter,
after a visit to relatives here, have
returned to Lake Como, Fla. M. Ray
bon states that thg orange crop in
his secion will be short on account
of the white flies causing the fruit to
rust.

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 11.—The
Appalachian Exposition, devoted to a
display of the resources and Industries
of the entire Appalachian region, was
opened In Knoxville today to continue
until the end of September. The open
ing was attended by Governor Hooper
and his staff. President Taft, Gover
nor Harmon of Ohio, William J. Bryan
and Champ Clark are scheduled to
speak at tho exposition later In the
month.

the famous financier of her eighty-
third birthday anniversary; Despite
her four score and three years Mrs.
Sage enjoys vigorous health and is
able to devote several hours dally
to the task of examination of applica
tions for charity or philanthropy and
to reviewing the reports of the work
accomplished by the many colleges* <
