LOST $23 WHEN
HE HEARD BRYAN.
Jacksonville, Fin., Feb. 10.—
The pickpockets continue to get
in their good work in this city, al
though the police and detectives
are keeping a sharp lookout for
the unwelcome visitors.
Yesterday morning H. II. Love
called nt police headquarter and
reported that he had been a vic
tim of the light-fingered gents
while entering the Duval theater
Sundny to hear the address of Wil
liam J. Bryan.
Mr. Love says he was going up
the steps lending to the balcony
and there was a young man
nt hand ceveral times. Mr.
Love says lie requested the
man to stop shoving him.
but that he replied that, lie
was heing crowded and could not.
After the top of the stairs was
reached Sir. Love became rather
suspicions mid putting his hand
into his trousers pocket ho made
tile discoverey that $23 in cnsli
had been removed while he was
walking up the steps. He then
looked around for the young man
who had been pushing him, lint
that individual was nowhere to he
found. Tho matter was reported
to the police yesterday morning,
and Mr. Love furnished them with
a fairly good description of the
man, but up to last night he was
still at large.
