gan to come into the eity and at |
11 o’elack, the hour for mecting at
‘the Court.hause, there was a large
crowd waiting for the signal to
bring them tozether. \When the
Dawson Band commenced playing
the Veterans began to vour in from
all directions. A line was formed ‘
and they marched into the lertl

F Crittenden, of Shellman; J W
¥ Lowrey, J G Parks, J L Janes,
M H Marshall of Dawson, and oth
ers, the following resolutions were
read and adopted. Resolved
Ist, That the association be
known as the Southwest Gecrgia
Association ot Veter.n Confeder
ate and State Soldiers.
2nd, We recommend that the
officers ot this agsociation be coms
posed of a president, three vice
presidents a secretary, two assist
ant seeretaries and a treasurer ‘

president, Wm. Kaigler, Henry
Miller and J P Walker as vice
