ALSO, A GENUINE TATTERN OF
The €fpssweid Gin*
THE UNDERSIGNED, having resumed the muntificture of the abeve Gin,
*■ pr> pose to make it what it was before the war—“ The favorite of the
South.” Our work stands upon its merits, and we think this a sufficient guar
antee. AV’e have secured the services of some of the best mechanical talent
in the Northern shops, in tddition t > some of the bust workmen (rorr, the shop
of the late Samuel Griswold Air. Uhas. Gardner, who served eight years
apprenticeship under E Carver & Cos., at East Bridgewater, Mass., and who
was employed as Superintendent of the Double Wells shop, from the com
meucernent of the manufacture of the Moore Cotton Gin, until is suspension,
is again at Lis post, and will give each Giu his p-rsonal inspection bibreit
leaves the shop.
In calling the attention of planters to our oot‘on Gins, vva desire that the,,

-A. PORT A BLE ROLL BOX,
For obtaining any inclination of the Gin Rib or Grate, is used ; the object of
which is to improve in the quantity ginned, lessen the quantity and improve
the quality of lint. Also, to gin damp or wot cotton ; to alter the picking or
separating the lint from the seed—either to take more lint off, or less lint from
the seed, as circumstances require. We use both the common Roll Bos and
a Swinging Front. The latter is arranged to let out all the seeds and bulls
in a moment, and is very easily managed.
THE GIN BRUSH
We meke, cannot be excelled by any hair brush used. The bristles are al'
drawn in by a cord, and the timber is all selected from the best lumbor, well
seasoned • and every bruuh is made perfectly fire and rat proof.
CYLINDER AND BRUSH BOXES,
Are both oscillating and plain. Gun furnish either, as may bo ordered. We
line them with the beet babbit metal.
YU , gin raws.
n e make all the paws that we use from the best English Cast Steel, andet
any size that may be desired. We employ, to superintend and manufaejtu
our saws, one of the beHt saw-makers in the Soutn, and our machinery for the
manufacture of Gin Saws cannot be excelled.
COTTON SEED CRUSHING MILL
We arc the only successful manufacturers of this important and useful > D
vention—the Cotton Gin, with the Cotton Seed Crushing Mill attached, J
will hardly be necessary here to allude to the immense saving and economica
use of crushed cotton seed as a manure. We received a gold medal as u pre
mium, from the Fair of tho Cotton Planter’s Convention, held in Macou Ga.
1860, for the best Cotton Seed Crusher attached to tho Gin Stand, to crush
the seed as fust as it escapes from the Roll. We refer to some of the many
certificates thut we have on the subject. J
