Narrow Escape From serious
Injuries
Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Tisdel and
their daughters Mildred and
Theda narrowly escaped serious
injuries, iwhen on their return
from a short stay with their
daughter Mrs. Robert Killerease
at Waycross, their car run into
an embankment, threw Mrs.
Tisdel and Miss Mildred out.
Mr. Tisdel was driving ‘the car
at a twenty mile gait, when a
gust of wind blew off his hat and
in the repeated attempt to catch
it, lost sight of the fact that the
car needed his attention to keep
in the road. Before he realized
his and his families predicament
the car had swerved to the side
of the road and had its nose
nearly embedded on the side of
the road and giving it a quick
turn, precipitated the ladies out
of the car, but propably savinga
more serious turn over.
The car was promptly stopped
and Mr. Tisdel went to the rescue
of his wife and daughter, who
appearantly were laying lifeless
on the side of the road. The
stock and the excitement had
caused them to faint but other
wise it was found that the in
juries were slight, on account of
the sandy condition of that part
of the road. A
The accident happened about
four miles south of Nichols on
the Dixie ‘‘Short Route.”’
