On last night a crowd of boys
went out on an old time “bird
thraiEinj” expedition. When
they quit they found that they
had forty-six birds. The next
thing that came up is “what will
we do witn them?” Someone
suggested cooking them on the
spot, and at tneword, a fire was
kindled, and in a few moments
the boys had a regular barbecue
on and in a little while longer,
they had barbecue bird on toast.
They go again to-morrow night.

aunt, Mrs. Joe Comer, of near
Athens. Mrs. Pittard left on the
evening train for the home of Mrs.

Mr. W T Smith, one of our
blacksmiths, and his family, mov
ed from our town to Elberton last

Uncle Bob Patterson
hog raiser of this country.
He slaughtered one a few dfeys
ago that tipped the beam at 440
pounds, and he raises everything
else at horns. Uncle Bob is one
of tne kind of farmers that lives
at home, let cotton be 5 or 10
cents.

Mr. and Mrs. J B Latty, who
