' A KENTUCKY MIRACLE.
JUDGE JOHN M. RICE TELLS HOW
HE WAS CURED OF SCIATICA.
Clrrnit Judge, Congreuman and
Aaeem lily man.
(From the Covington, Ky., Pott.)
The Hon. John M. Rice, of Louisa, Law
fence County, Kentucky, has for the past
two years retired from active life as Crim
inal and Circuit Judge of the sixteenth
Judicial District of Kentucky.
He has for many years served his native
-county and state in the legislaturcat Frank
fort and at Washington, and, until his re
tirement was a noted figure in political and
Judicial circles. The Judge is wrii-kuown
throughout the state and possesses the best
tjnaAinc;. which go to make a Kentucky
, genftriU' n honored wherever he is known,
jfi,... A few days ngo a Kentucky Votl reporter
■Tcalled upon" Judge Rice, who" in the follow-
T ir :, words related the history of the causes
tl at led to his retirement. “It is just about
i. < years since I had an attack of rheuma
ti’>; slight at first, but soon developing into
&. iatic rheumatism, which first with
scute shooting pains in the hips, gradually
extruding downward to my feet.
“ My condition became so bad that I even
tually lost ail power of my legs, and then
the liver, kidneys and bladder aql in tact,
my whole system, became deranged.
“In 18Ld, attended by my son John, I
Wenttoliot Springs, Ark.,but was notnmeh
benefited by some months stay there, liy
liver was actually dead, and a dull persistent
pain in its region kept- me on the ruck all
the time. In 18!ld I was reappointed Circuit
Judge, but it was impossible for me to give
attention to my duties. In 1891 I went to
the Silurian Springs. Wnukcshuw, Wis. I
fayed there some tune, but without im
pavement.
“ The muscles of my limbs were now re
t’uced by atrophy to mere strings. Sciutio
Sains tortured me terribly, but it was the
isordered condition of my liver that was I
felt gradually wearing mv life uway. Doc
tors gave me up Completely.
“ I lingered on in this condition sustained .
almost entirelv by stimulants until April.
1893. One dav John saw an account or i
Dr. Williams' Vink Pills for Pale People
In the Kentucky Post. This was something
flew, ind John prevailed upon me totrv them.
I remember I was not expected to live for
more than three or four days ut the time.
The effect of P'e pills, however, was mar- ;
vclous and I could soon eat heartily, n thing
1 had not done for years. The liver began
almost instantaneously to perform its func
tions, and Inis done so ever since. Without
doubt the pills saved mv life and while I do
not crave notoriety 1 cannot refuse to testify
to their worth.
Dr. Williams’ Pin!; Pills for Pale People
contain ull the elements necessary to giva
new life aud richness to the blood and re
store shattered nerves. They may he had of
all druggists, or direct from the Dr. Wil
liams’ Medic' oe Company, Schenectady, N. i
Y. t for 50c. per bos, or six boxes for s2£o.
