MISSIVES GOT MIXED.
A young lady presented her in
tended with a beautifully worked
pair of slippers, and he acknow
ledged the present by sending her
his picture, incu-ed in a handsome
frame. He wrote a note with it,

grily to an oft-repeated dun for an
unpaid suitof clothes. Reengaged
a hoy to deliver the package and
notes. The young ladv received a
note in Iht adored civ's handwrit
ing and flew to her room to devour
its contents. She opened tic mis

And the tailor was struck utterly l
dumb when he opened a parcel and
discovered a portrait of his delin

Submiftinga proposed amendment, to
the Constitution of Georgia, to be voted
on at the general election to he field on
Tuesday. November 3,1 it 14. said amend
ment providing for representation in
the Imiise of re presen til I ives for cam
lies not now provided for, and for other

Whereas, the general assembly at its
session in lit 11. proposed all amendment
to the constitution of this State, as set
forth in an act approved August (J, 1914*
to-wir:
An act to amend paragraph 1, of section
3, of article 3, of the constitution of
the State of Georgia by striking the
figures I *4 I herefrom and insertiug in
place thereof the figures I St), so as to
provide for representation in the
house of representatives for counties
not now provided for. unit further by
striking from said paragraph the
names of the counties therein set out
and inserting in place there if the
names of the counties mentioned in
the re-apportionment act of the gen
eral assembly of 10! 1. so that said par
agraph will conform to said re-appor
tionment. and for other purposes.
Section 1. if enacted by the gene
ral assembly of the State of Georgia, and
ii is hereby enacted by authority of tl e
same, that paragraph 1,.0f section 3, of
article 3, of 11 e const i tut ion be, and the
same is hereby amended by striking
from tlie second line of said paragraph
the figures ‘•lst’’ and inserting in lieu
thereof the ligures “189,” and further
by striking therefrom the names of all
counties therein specified, and insert
ing in of six counties therein na
med as being entitled to three repre
sentatives each the following : “Fulton,
Chatham. Richmond, Bibb, Floyd and
Muscogee,” anil inserting in place of
the twenty-six counties therein speci
fied as being entitled to two represent
atives each, the following: “Laurens,
Carroll, .laekson, Sumter, Thomas, De
catur, Gwinnett, Coweta, Cobh. Wash
ington, DeKalb, Burke. Bulloch. T <mp,
Hall,Walton, Bartmv. Meri wel her,Ema
nuel, Lowndes, Elbert, Brooks. Hous
ton, Wilkes. Clarke and Ware,” and lur
th.-r by adding at the end of said para
graph, after Hie words, “and to the re
maining counties one representative
each,” th" following: “and in the event
of the ratification of this amendment to

ley and Wheeler shat be entitled to rep

Georgia for the session 191c—’10; and in
the event this amendment and the
amendments creating the counties of
Barrow, Candler ami Bacon shall be
ratified, then the three said last named
counties shall also be entitled to repre
sentation in the sess ons of the general
assembly for the years !9K-’I0; and
elections in said counties shall b • held
on the first Tuesday in January, 1915,

elections for the election of members of
the general assembly to serve during
the session 1915-’IO in accordance with
this amendment,” so that when said
paragraph is so amended it will read as
follows:
