IS INTERESTING SOCIAL EVENT
A marriage of much inte est to
hundreds of friends throughout, the
state was that of Miss Sibyl Han.p

Quitman, Ga., which wa- solemn
ized at. the First Baptist church on
1 Monday evening, dune the- fourth,
! at nine o’clock.

ton, New York, -and other points of

about ten days they will return to
Quitman where they will make their
home.

Mrs. Me ran ir. the daughter of
Mrs. M. L. Hampton. She ir, an
alumnae of the University of Geor
gia, and one of the first co-eds to be
graduated from that institution As
a teacher of Home Economics in the
Quitman High school and the Barries
ville A. & M. school she has won
the love and admiration of all with
whom she has been associated and
her career has been marked by suc
cess that will continue to be mani
fested in yeaFs to com^. Mr. Moran
holds a responsible position in the
offices of the A. C. L. railriad and
is highly esteemed by all who know
him The lovely display of gifts at

of Waynesboro, a former pastor of

sweet peas and ferns. In the receiv
ing line with the bridal party were

lace over blue satin, and Miss Morris
who wore pink satin brocaded in sil
ver. Punch was served on the porch

the bride ascended the stairs shje

bridesmaids.
