A lovely event of Tuesday after
noon was the Fidelia Class meeting
held with Mrs. R. M. Jetton. The
attractive home, artistically arranged
with baskets and crystal vases of .
giariiolii in pastel shades, was truly
a scene of enchantment.
The interesting business meeting
was presided over by the president,
Mrs. S. J. Carmichael. An enjoyable
feature of the social hour was the
lively “Skating Rink” Contest, and
an old time spelling match.
An elaborate salad course followed
by cream and cake was served by
Mrs. Jetton, assisted bv Mrs. A. C.
Sorrells and Miss Evelyn Moon.

THE WOMAN’S AUXILIARY
The Woman's Auxiliary of the Co
mer Presbyterian church met at the
church Monday afternoon, July 2nd,
with six members; in attendance.
Opened with song and reading of
15th chapter of John by the Presi-
| dent. Papers were read by different
I members, then a Prayer Band was
organized with Mies Emma Groves
as leader, to meet at the church each
Thursday evening a half hour before
the regular prayer meeting service.
Every member of the Auxiliary is
also a member of the Prayer Band
and is urged to attend.
The meeting closed with prayer
by Miss Emma Groves.
| Next meeting of the Auxiliary to
be at the church Aug. 7th,

WITH THRASH
Mr. J. E. Vaughn reports that in
21 1-2 days running he thrashed
11,500 bushels in Hart county, 2,000*
bushels in Madison county and 3,344
in Elbert county making a total of
10,844 bushels, about half whaet and
half oats. His ter.ytory was on
Broad river where the three counties
meet.
