DEATH CLAIMS MR J C TYNER
We regret to announce the death
of Mr. J. C. Tyner which occurred
at his home last Friday morning.
He would have been seventy-one
yeans old Aug 25th. His death was
not entirely unexpected as he had
been in feeble health for several
months. He united with the church
when just a boy. He was a good
Christian man, a kind father, and a
good neighbor. He loft hfe good
wife and eight children to mourn
his death.
He left a vacancy in his home, his
church, and community which will
not easily be filled. The family and
relatives has the sympathy of a wide
circle of friends in their sore be
reavement.
His body was laid to rest in Jones
Chapel cemetery. We feel sure that
God has taken home another to be
with him in glory.

Which is the better—the dollar in
your pocket or the one safely de
posited at our bank? There can
be but one correct answer.
The dollar in your pocket is elu
sive. It is where you can easily
reach it. You “obey that sudden
impulse’’ and away goes the dol
lar. After it has gone you wish
you had it back, but it takes more
than wishes to get another dollar
these days. Put yeur dollars in
the bank thus avoiding tempta
tion to spend them. Soon they
will be working for you.
