SOUTHEASTERN FAIR SCHOOL

YOUNG MEN FROM EACH COUNTY AT FAIR
OCTOBER 6 TO 13.
Atlanta, Ga. - Having in mind the
fact that education of young people of
the country t(< the most important
work that can ho accomplished, 'i'he
fSoiitheaHtern Fair Association has in
stituted a number of plans and con
testa to attract the young men and
young women, and one of those is the
Southeastern Fair School.
The particular purpose of this is to
offer to a selected body of young men
(ho means for systematic study and
observation under competent instruc
tors of the agricultural and education
al exhibits at, the Fair, and through
these young men to reach back home
the older and the younger men.
Two from c-neb county, between the
ages of 15 and 18, are to b*> selected
by competitive examination They
will purchase round trip tickets to At
lanta and return from their homes, the
amount being refunded them upon
their arrival at the Fair, where they
will be assigned to suitable camping

RACING CARD TO BE THE BEST EVER
AT SOUTHEASTERN FAIR THIS YEAR

ed for the Southeastern Fair this
year—the first day, Saturday, October
8. being devoted to auto racing, and
the whole of the next week to har
ness and running races.
Only one day of running races is
programmed, but for this, thorough
bred horses and famous jockeys have
been entered, and for those who pre
fer the saddle horse this will be a
treat
The Lakewood trad; has become
one of the most noted in the country
for harness races. Many fine horses
have been trained on it and the

The counties from which the boys
come are asked to give five dollars
for each boy to pa/ for the short
term scholarship. The Extension Di
vtsioT of the Georgia State College of
Agriculture and the United states De
railment of \grieuiture will co-operate
with the county authorities to secure
tht.se funds and to provide Instruc
tors for the school.
The forenoon each day will be de
voted to study, observation and class
work, and the evening to the attend
ance of illustrated lectures and the
writing up of notes. Ample t.aie each
afternoon will be free to visit the
various exhibits and attractions ou tho
Fair grounds.
County school superintendents and
county or district , demonstration

contests for the selection of the boys,
and fortunate Indeed will be those
who win the scholarships at the Fair
School this year.

Lakewood during the Southeastern
Fair this fall will assemble a largo
number of the fastest horses that ever

ers of national renown, so that the
fans may be assured a great week of
