BASKETBALL GAMES
JPovi’ and Girl* Tcuni Play Elbert.
Friday Night.
The boys and girls teams of the
Corner High School will journey to
Eibarton for a double header Friday
night. This will he the first game of
the season for the local girls. The
local quintet held the W atkinsviiio
Champion.-, to a low score last wee';
and they are hoping to do even bet
ter than that for the Elherton team
Friday night. Everybody who pcs i
bly can are urged to accompany the
teams to Elbei'torTVnd show the teams
by our presence that we are whole
heartedly behind them. The teams
especially the hoys are losing r.o time
to get iu top iOiiu for the coming
fray.
The locals will be hosts to the
strong team from 11a next Wednes
day afternoon. Everybody remem
bers that Ila was the third best team
in tht N. E. Ga. tournament at
Athens last year and Comer team is
all keved up to hand the visitors a
defeat, ila took their first game of
the season from Daniel.ville' last
Saturday at the latter’s court with
Ha's be.-t player on the sideline sal'-
Coring with a wrenched knee. And
realizing this, the Comer team knows
that a hard battle awaits them but
believes that a victory ever La is
I --sidle. Let .<ll our town people get
behind the team and be prevent to
spur them on to victory.
