COLBERT WOMAN S CLUB
Mrs. H. H. Hart and Miss Susie
Sorrells were hostesses to the Wo
man’s Club at the home of Mrs.
Hart, on Friday, Sept.. 19th. There
were 21 members present and one
visitor, Mrs. J. F. Colbert.
Miss Sorrells presided in her usual
efficient manner. The meeting opened
by singing, “America. The Beautiful.’
Reports from the different commit
tees were heard. Mrs. Hart, treasu
rer, gave her yaerly report, and the
secretary read the annual report of
the Club’s work for the past year..
These reports showed that the club
had not been idle. Aft r several
other important matters had been
discussed, the club entereh into the
election of officers for the ensuing
year. The ladies showed their ap
proval and appreciation of last year’s
officers, by re-electing them, no chan
ges being made. No new committees
were appointed, other names being
added to those already serving. ,
The meeting was then turned over
to the hostess, who invited the la
dies to the dining room which was
most attractive in its decorations of
pink and white, the club colors. For
a center piece was a beautiful cake,
with three candies, this 'being the
club’s third birth day. After partak
ing of the dainty refreshments, the
club adjourned and will meet with
