We Have been having fine weath
er for hog killing and there have been

munity.
Mis:- Rogers, one of our efficient
teachers, spent the week-end with
home folks in Comer.
Miss Elizabeth, Thomas spent
Thanksgiving and the remainder of
the week-end Athens.
Messers M. D. Chafin, F. I-.

and Allen Glenn attended the Ga.-
Ala. foot hall game in Birmingham
last Thursday.
Messers Dan and Benjamin Witch
er were in town Friday afternoon.
Mr. Claude Smith and family of

The tourists were inconvenienced
very much by having to detour a
round near Newtown on account of a
licwbridge being constructed over
X’ork creek below town.
Carlton Sunday School voted unan
imously to have a Christman tree.

giving with her sisters, Misses Addie
and Pink Deadwyler and Remained
over the week-end returning to her
school duties at Canton Sunday af
ternoon .
Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Power and
family spent Sunday with Mr. and

Prof. C. G. Stevens has returned
home from Ashville, N. C. much im
proved in health to the delight ot
his many friends.
