We e-pescially want to thank Mis?
McLeroy, the faculty adviser of 1 e
Tanaer, for her loyal service to the
staff.
As . n excuse for the mistake-! we
have made we offer the fact that this
was our first ofLv. t alone this li ><*•
And we hope that our efforts have
met with the approval of our pa
trons under these conditions.
We feel that the paper has to a
large extent accomplished the thing?
which we had in mind when it was
founded —namely, the boosting of
school and community, by ci eating
interest in them through publicity
and affording opportunity to the
students of expressing their thoughts
on a printed page. And we realize
• ct this has been largely due U
our su! scribers and advert sers.
We Most that this work will be
kept up .and improved upon and
wish fur th? new editorial staff all
possible success.
We who will not serve on the ed

THE WORK OF THE YEAR
As 'the pro ent s-holl year draw?

shall be tvcr.gthened in our lives as
future citizens.
I believe that every pupil will a

a nleasant one. There is always
something to do; during s:ho.l I o ns
we are kept busy with our books ad
at recess we have pleasant rue moves
of baket ball and base ball. There
has .been n feeling of comradeship
among the teaokers and pup Is which
has helped to make the school a pb as
~nt place. Jt has been a joy o
one pupil to help another, therel y ere

good will among themselves. A'l
the.-e things and others have made us

The ho*T v voir has fceon a sue

is true that we wore losers in the
Madison C< unty Tournament, hut we

Northeast Georgia Tournament, tak
ing third place in the end.
The girls basketball team was sue
Cessful, winning two *ut of four
games nlayed .
With few exceptions we feel that
the year has been a successful one
and we hope everyone will come hack
and hhring someone with t- cm to
help make next school year the big —-
gest and best we have ever had.
