It Is not unlikely that Jack Frost will

section within the next raw days.
A fall of frost at this ,lme of the year
would be almost unprecedented, but nev
ertheless such would not surprise the
Weather officials.
The samo cold wave that brought frost
to Louisiana Ratunlay Is headed In this
direction, and Is expected to reach Macon
by- tomorrow, .bringing with It all winter
time appurtenances. The weather rec
ords show thnT no fall of frost lias evor
occurred In Macon earlier than the last
week of October.,
The obeerver’s prediction for today Is

"Are you going to the reunion?"
This question Is now thrown at ths
veterans every day. and Indicate* that
quite a number will attend the reunion
at Atlanta next week. Both the Macon
camps will send large delegations, and
tnere are a number or the veterans from
the nearby places who generally come to
Macon to go with the Macon vets on
all occasions of this kind.
There are many who will go to Atlan
ta for the reason that It Is close by.
In these days of the 1 thinning of tho
ranks, distance play* an important part
with - the wearers of the gray. Time was
when they could stand & trip as far off
