He purposes to pay all the expenses of

T'nere is no reason why we Smiths can
not get to gether m old Kentucky and
have a high old time, said Mr. Smith., “It
has just occurred to me that it would be
a great thing to get all the Smiths to
gether for a lark. There ave some awful
“Jarkers' named Smith. Some of us are
good men, some bad, some in peniten
tiary and some that ought to be; sonie of
us in the lunatie aslyum and some that
are really emart people. But I would like
to getus all together; no matter what
varieties are represented.
“I;figure that three thousand Smiths
could easily afford to come to such a
gathering, but if as many as two thous
and accept my invitation I will go ahead
with my plans. I will set the date for
the reunion and then make plans for ac
comodations, etc. lam willing to spend

$25.000 or $30.000 in such a schme, an
after we Smiths have had our meeting I
would like to see the Joneses and the
Browns and others get together.
*‘No, the Schmidts and the Schmitts
and the Smythes, especially the latter,
can’'t get in on this reunion, which is
solely for those bearing the good old
name of Smith. I have a cousin Smith
who changed it to Smythe. He is barred
from my pink tea ,
‘I am not particular about the reunion
being held in Louisville. I will go to
New York or to Philadelphia or to Bos

The above Items represent the warrants

Elect our county Commissioners by the
people. We are making our grand juries
too much of a political machine. We
are placing too much power in the hands
‘ot our officers who in case a talesman had
to be picked npand a question was doubt
ful could put on partisand and carry any
measure the way he wanted it,
As the law stands there is no way
of effefctually checking up our dis
pensary. We need the law changed,
We need seperate dispensary officials
M our County Commissioners are the
o..es to check over the figpancial afiairs of
the County. If they to check over the
dispensary commnissioners and they them
selves are the dispensary commissioners.
We would like to know how we are ever
to get things straight. If things go wrong
without the County Commiscioners bring
ing proceeding against themselves as dis
pensary commissioners. The dispersary
commissioners should be distinet and sep
erate people =~ We need the law chan
