rioi Court sessions.
BelovT is given the substance of
testimony introduced:
At the time of his death Parker
was shown to have had trouble with
no one except Sasser.
Jealousness existed between Par
ker and Sasser over domestic troub
les.
Because of this jealousness appre
hension existsed in Parker’s immedi
ate family as to his safety.
Although, forbidden to do so Sas
ser continued to visit Parker’s home.
Sasser lived nearly three miles
away, but had his washing done at
Parker’s over his known protest, and
on one occasion, Parker destroyed
Sasser’s clothing and although he
knew this Sasser made no kick.
Sasser came to the Parker home
on Sunday after tho killing but
seemed to avoid viewing the scene of
the crime and talking with anyone
about it.
Horse tracks that led up to the rack
near the store and the same track
leading away, all through the woods
for a distance, resembled tracks made
by Srssers horse. The right fore
foot of Sasser’s horse had a peculiar
shape on account of broken hoof and
this peculiarity was the means of
identification of the tracks. Cream
colored horse hair was found on the
rack to which the horse tracks led,
and to which the horse seemad to
have been hitched. There was

Judge E. K. Overstreet took the posi
tion that many rumours were being
circulated and talked to Sasser’s in
jury and unless this ceased a changf
of venue would be absolutely neces
sary to his getting a fair and impar
