all the week—up today and down to

its fluctuations have been able to keep

A source of deep sorrow to hor many
friends was the death of Mrs. W. E.
Fuller, beloved companion of Rev, W,
E. Fuller, which occurred Tuesday af
ternoon at her home on Tomplo n venue,
She had; suffered for more than a year
from an incurable malady, and hor death
was not unexpected, Sho boro hor long
affliction bravely and uncomplainingly,
as she had borne all the trials of lifg,
and faced the end ,with the courage of
a Christian, undismayed and unafrnil;
Besides her husband, she loaves flvo chil
dren, who have the sympathy of tho en

On Friday night last an automr.lillo
carrying four or five men drove up to
the home of Calvin Alexander, white, in
the-Seventh district,, took him off about
9 miles, arid, after administering a se-
vore whipping, turned him loose to find

Alexander was la the city Monday, and
is understood to be deeply outraged at
the rough treatment to which ho was
subjected. If he recognized any of his
