Bill went to Aa.ericus and was accompanied by bis lawyer, B. F. AVutts esq., and Deputy Fheriffi Hol ler, who was armed with a wr mint for Fed’s arrest. On Monday Fed was brought to Lumpkin and lodged in jail. On Wednesday morning he was brought before Judge Karksey and in default of a bond of $i50 was committed to jail to await the action of the Grand Jury. Fed's excuse for attempting to sell the steers is that his wife bought them from Heed and he had a light to sell them. He has retain¬ ed E. G. During the late cold spell in Stewart a large number of fat hogs were kibed and ear citizens generally have been enjoying all the benefits of hog-killing time.
