SOME THINGS
ARE OFFENSIVE
There are some people if an
offense is committed by anyone
who claims Jeffersonian, it does
not make any difference how
black it may be, they would
claim it white as snow
their parties did it. There are
others so Taify they would
all sight of justice to the people,
if an offense or injustice were
committed by the Talfites. they
couldn’t see but what it was
white, although it was of a gold¬
en glitter. There are others
whose fore-sight is so short if an
offense is committed by the pon¬
tiff, they can’t see any harm
coming their way until they are
battered and banged beyond rec¬
ognition, and they still cry out
lillie white. There are
people belonging to other parties
who claim the same tiling, but
they are not so numerous here.
I’eople this thing shouldn’t be
so. This will apply to parties,
churches, sect, societies,
and families. Friends we
lose sight of such things and
come to the rescue of the mass
of the people. YVhat good

LET US TAKE TIME.
Let us take time for the good¬
bye kiss. We shall go the day’s
work with a sweeter spirit for it.
Let us take time for the even
ing prayer. Our sleep will be
more restful if we have claimed
the guardianship of God.
Let us take time to speak
sweet, foolish words to those we
love. By-and-by., when they can
no longer hear us, our foolishness
will seem more wise than our
best wisdom.
Let us take time to read our
Bible. Its treasures will last
when we shall have ceased to
care for the war of political par¬
ties, and rise and fall of stock,
or the petty happenings of the
day.
Let us take time to be pleas¬
ant. The small courtesies, which
we often omit because they are
small, will some day look larger
to us than the wealth which we
covet, or the fame for which we
