Notes On
Chiropractic
Disc trouble
can cause pain
and despair. ..
The work we do
has physical
consequences
whether we’re
m a c h Ines,
pushing pen
cils, tapping
typewriters or
counting corporations.
With every move you make
-your body is subject to some
form of shock, even though
these jars may be minor.
Nature has engineered your
body with "shock absorbers.”
These are cushioned between
the 24 vertebrae of your spine,
and they are called interverte
vral discs.
When an automobile loses its
smooth ride and begins to
bounce, it jars not only the
passengers, but other parts of
the car, which eventually causes
further damage. The know
ledged motorist instructs a me
chanic to install a new set of
shock absorbers .. and the car
will ride smoothly again.
Now, what happens what when
your body’s “shockabsorbers”
-the intervertebral discs-cease
to provide the smooth ride
necessary to good health. Ob
viously, the doctor cannot in
stall new discs. But malfunc
tioning discs can be “fixed”
by doctors who know spinal
mechanics best-doctors of
chiropractic.
