head of“Stran#i* |dii*nonu*noii,” gives the
lollowing:
A gentleman brought into our nlllee yes
terday a boiled egg, from which the shell
had. boon removed, which exhibited a
remarkable phenomenon. The eg# was
boiled hard, aud on the Biirfitee appealed
letters like the impression of type. They
were plain to be seen, aud were found there
when the shell was taken ott*. The other
eggs of tlie same lot, alter being cooked aud
opened, exhibited a similar apneaninoc.—
We understand that these eggs had lain for
some time wrapped up in a newspaper, and
exposed to the sun’s rays. The membrane
ous lining of an egg, as every one knows, is
composed af albumen, both of which are
used by photographers in making their
prints^, These eggs wero small and had
thiu shells, aud the supposition is that the
sunlight produced a chemical action of the
gelatine and albumen whereby the print in
the paper was transferred to the white of
the egg. It is gomewJiat.singiilar phenome
non, and if any person enn give its any Hith
