Board Ot Education J
I am running for the school board so that education
can be put back in the hands of the community where it
belongs.
Our present school board tries to keep quiet on
problems like drugs in our schools We need to stop drug
use on school grounds and the pushers of drugs should
not find our schools as havens from the law en
forcement officials.
Students should not be subjected to drugs at school
This is not the type of education they need.
The only way to have a better education system is lot
have an active involved community running our schools
and not five men meeting in a back room.
As I am an individual running against a strong
established political machine, any campaign con
tribution, no matter how small, will be greatly ap
predated. Please mail to the:

Perry Fire Dept. Does
Outstanding Job Here
Dear Bobby,
A couple of week ago on
the night of that bad
electrical storm, our office
building, Richardson
Realty Company, caught
fire from lightning. My
husband and I were In
Macon at the time, and our
son called to tell us that the
office was on fire.
From what we have
heard from those who saw
the fire, the flames were
leaping from the roof when
the fire department
arrived. Yet our excellent
fire department was able
to contain the entire fire
damage in the attic portion
of the building. They were
so very cautious and
thoughful in covering
papers on desks before
they used the water and in
moving expensive
equipment in to areas Os
the building which were
not affected.
We were extremely
impressed with their
dedication to not only
extinguishing the fire but
also to caring for the
property so that our
damage was kept at a
minimum.
I just wanted to take this
opportunity to say to each
one of them who worked so
tirelessly that evening,
"Thank you very much."
