19th Bomb Group
To Aid Families
During Christmas
Fifty Houston County
families will have a
Merry Christmas this
year, thanks to the 19th
Bomb Wing.
Wing Squadrons are
collecting non-perishable
food items and toys, new
and repairable used, in
boxes located in the
various units and at
Zayre’s and Winn Dixie in
Warner Robins.
Funds for the Yuletide
cheer program will be
raised in the Bowl for a
Child tournament the
wing is sponsoring Dec. 1,
2, 8 and 9 at Houston
Lanes.

that 50 families have gifts
and enough food for the
holiday season, said

Adults will pay $3 and two
cans of food to bowl three
games; the cost for kids
will be $3 and a new toy.”
Bowlers may pay to
enter the tournament one
day or all four days.
Some 200 prizes will be
awarded, many of them
donated by local mer
chants. “There’s to be a
grand prize in the men’s
division and one in the
women’s division. Each
winner will receive a
vacation for two in Las
Vegas, or Miami Beach,
or Disney World.
Everything will be
covered but tran
sportation,” said the
sergeant.
He added that first and
second place trophies,
donated by D and S
Trophies of Houston
Lanes, will be awarded to
boys and girls in the
bantam, junior and
senior divisions. Door
prizes will be given each
day of the four-day
tournament also.

Willis
Miss Frances Willis, 37,
died Wednesday, Nov.
28, 1979 in Antwerp, Ohio
from injuries received in
an automobile accident.
Graveside services were
held at 2 p.m. Monday,
December 3 in Riverside
Cemetery in Macon. The
Rev. Thomas H. Johnson
officiated. A memorial
service was held at 11:30
a.m. Friday in Antwerp
United Methodist Church
in Antwerp, Ohio.
Miss Willis, a native of
Bibb County, was a
graduate of A.L. Miller
High School and Nor
thwestern University in
Evanston, 111., where she
received her liberal arts
degree. She also attended
the International Mon
tessori School in
Washington, D.C. Miss
Willis was a member of
the Antwerp United
Methodist Church and
was a former member of
Perry United Methodist
Church and Highland
Hills Baptist Church in
Macon. She was em
ployed by Mutual
Security Life Insurance
Co. in Fort Wayne, 111.
Survivors include her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Willis of Perry; a sister,
Dr. Patricia Willis of
Chevy Chase, Md. and
two nieces.
Neff
Mr. John Edgar Neff,
age 89, of New Smyrna
Beach, Florida formerly
of the Campground in
Perry passed away this
Monday, November 26,
1979 after an extended
illness.
Funeral services will
be held at 2 p.m. Thur
sday at the Christ Sanc
tified Holy Church with
interment in the church
cemetary. He had been a
member of the church for
45 years.
Survivors include his
wife Mrs. Pearl Cogar
Neff and one daughter
Mrs. Henrietta Lakin
both of New Smyrna
Beach, Fla; 2 sons,
Brooks and Ford Neff of
Hernando, Fla.; 1
brother, Alvie Neff of
Akron Ohio; 13 grand

grandchildren.
