Mrs. Julia Drake
Bryant, 67, died Friday,
December 7, 1979 in an
Atlanta hospital. Services
were held at 1 p.m.
Saturday, December 8 in
Perry United Methodist
Church. Burial was in
Woodbury City
Cemetery. The Rev. J.B.

Mrs. Bryant, a nativre
of Mississippi, lived in
Perry 22 years. She was a
retired employee of the
University of Georgia
Extension Service and
was a member of Perry
United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two
daughters, Mrs. Jane
Davis and Mrs. Sylvia
Hoffmire, both of
Hickory, N.C.; a son,
John S. Bryant of Perry;
and nine grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, the
family requests that
donations be made to
Myasthenia Gravis
Foundation.

Services
Held Here
Willis Algeon Holland
Sr., 71, died Friday,
December 7, 1979 in a
Perry hospital.
Graveside services were
Saturday, December 8 in
Perry Memorial Gar
dens. The Rev. Dan Ariail
officiated.
Mr. Holland, a native of
Lawrenceville, lived in
Perry since 1969 and was
a retired cashier with
Equitable Life Assurance
Society of Atlanta. He
was a Navy veteran of
World War 11.
Survivors include his
wife, Mrs. Julia Holland
of Hollywood, Fla.; a
daughter, Mrs. Robert
Alexander of Jackson
ville, Fla.; a son, Willis
A. Holland Jr. of
Hollywood, Fla.; a sister,
Mrs. James Bell of
Greenville, S.C.; two
brothers, John Holland of
Decatur and Jack
Holland of Lawren
ceville; and seven
grandchildren.

Home had charge of
arrangements.
McKinley
Henry B. McKinley, 59,
of Unadilla, died Thur
sday, December 6,1979 in
a Dooly County hospital.
Services were held at 2
p.m. Saturday,
December 8 in Unadilla
United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Walnut
Cemetery. The Rev.
Curtis Roberts, the Rev.
Jimmy Duke and the
Rev. Joel Dent officiated.
Mr. McKinley, a native
of Dooly County, was a
civil service employee of
Robins Air Force Base.
He was a member of the
administrative board of
Unadilla United
Methodist Church and
was an Air Force veteran
of World War 11.
Survivors include his
wife, Mrs. Mary Speight
McKinley of Unadilla;
two daughters, Miss Joan
McKinley of Atlanta nad
Mrs. Robert Fudge of
Perry; a sister, Mrs. J.H.
Balcom Jr. of Macon;
two brothers, the Rev.
Rudolph McKinley of
Jacksonville, Fla., and
Wilson McKinley of
Forest Park; and two
grandchildren.
Odom Funeral Home
had charge of
arrangements.

Funeral services for
Miss Katherine Furey of
Crossroads Trailer Park,
who died Sunday, Dec. 9,
1979 were held Wed
nesday at 10 a.m. in the
St. Patricks’s Catholic
Church with Father Hugh
Marshall officiating.
Interment was in Rolls
Hill Cemetery, Hager
stown Maryland.
Survivors include 2
sisters Misses Mary and
Ann Furey, 3 brothers
Bernard, Hugh and
Michael Furey, all of
Crossroads Trailer Park.

Ina Mae Cogar Nor
man, age 39, of Augusta
died November 7, 1979 at
the University Hospital,
Augusta following a brief
illness.
Funeral services were
held Sunday in the Christ
Sanctified Holy Church.
Interment was in the
church cemetery. The
Rev, Leo Stewart of
ficiated.
Mrs. Norman was a
native of Spartanburg
s.c.
Survivors include her
husband, Daniel W.
Norman, Sr., 2 sons

Augusta; her mother,
Mrs. Katherine R. Cogar,
her father Charles F.
Cogar, 3 sisters, Sarah C.
Jernigan, Minnie C.

69, died Friday,
December 7, 1979 in an
Upson County hospital.

8 in The Rock Baptist
Church. Burial was in

dens. The Rev. Paul
Martin and the Rev.
Clarence Denny of
ficiated.
Mrs. Truitt, a native of
Monroe County, was a
member of The Rock
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her
husband, John Cleaburn
Truitt of Yatesville; a
daughter, Mrs. Sandra
Collins of Perry; a sister,
Mrs. Edward Turner of
Thomaston; three
brothers, George Ruffin
and Joel Ruffin, both of
Thomaston and Paul
Ruffin of Riverdale; and
four grandchildren.

Christmas banquet at the
Assembly of God Church,
Friday evening. Theme

Adore Him”.

hospital.
