Mr. J. P. Evans Dies.
Mr. James P. Evans died at the
residence of Mr. J. R. Barnes on
south Main street at 8 o’clock Fri
day night p,fter an illness of sev-
eraT months, in fact his health has
been poor for several years. Mr.
Evans was fifty-one years of age
and was well known throughout
this section of the state. He was
a member of the Methodist church
and was also a member of the
Royal Arcanum, in which order
he was insured for $8,000,
Mr. Evans is survived by four
children, a boy and three girls. His
wife, who was a Miss Brown, pre
ceded him to the grave several
years ago. He was a brother of
Messrs A. M. and W. H. Evans,
catarrh. / am seventy-one years old,
have an appetite again and can work.
I feel ten years younger. 99
When old age comes on, catarrhal dis
eases come also. Systemic catarrh is al
most universal in old people.
This explains why Pernna has become
so indispensable to old people. Peruna
is their safe-guard. Pernna is the only
remedy yet devised that meets, these
cases exactly.
Such cases cannot be treated locally;
nothing but an effective systemic rem
edy could cure them. This is exactly
what Per urn a is.

the religious fervor spread to all

much good has been accomplished.

The Hertford Times suggests
that “if you want to obtain light
on the tariff question ask the first
woman you meet whether she
thinks there ought to be a duty on
coal.” Of course this question
must be put to Yankee women
just now.
