A Missouri judge has made him
self solid with his feminine con
stituency by eliminating the word
“obey” from the connubial knots
which he ties. He holds that the
word is entirely superfluous, as a
wife who has a husband she loves
will obey him, and if she has the
other kiud no human or other law
could make her do it. And gen
erally speaking, he is about right.
