Editor,
The telegraphic dispatches bring
uh the news that Wm. J. Bryan
will launch a weekly paper and
that hie future duties will be to
edit and-manage his paper—ex
tracting happiness out of living at
home and sustaining the public
lpolicies that he has advocated in
the past.
In thus marking out bis futuro
career, Mr. Bryan will not be
troubled with bossism, and his in
dividuality will be clearly and un
mistakably maintained.
The consciousness of honest
patriotic effort to benefit his peo
ple wilj still be his)and it will be
beyond the power of men to de
stroy the happiness of one thus
fortified.
Censured he may be, but the ar
mor that covers a noble heart, bat
tling tor the uplifting of mankind,
is invulnerable against the arrows
4of malice and all uiicharitable-
ness
We lift our hat, therefore, to
Editor Bryan and wish for him
happiness and great usefulness in
his chosen work.—Athens Banner.
