Dorsey—Wootlside Wedding.
The wedding of Miss Maud Dorsey
and Mr. Joel David Woodside, which
will take place Wednesday, the 25th in

cards will be issued. The ceremony

ciated at the marriage of the bride-elects

has secured the services of Prof. Jas.
L. Crow to teach singing lessons and

Jenkins Assaulted.
L. H. Jenkins, a white man who is
employed by Mr. J. H. Martin, was
badly beaten up and cuffed about at
the junction of East Spring and East
Broad streets at 7 o’clock Wednesday
night. He says he does not know the
name of his assailant, but that he
would recognize him if he saw him.
Jenkins was intoxicated and he says he
was put in this condition by some per
sons who had designs upon him be
cause he swore, to having bought whis
key at a blind tiger in this city. *The
officers are working several clues and
m all probability arrests will be made
at an early date.
Zed Wright and T. A. Richardson
were arrested yesterday charged with
having assaulted Jenkins. They are
locked up pending their trials, which
will likely be this afternoon.

Mrs. M. H. Jenkins died at her
home on the Peterson place, near
the city limits, last Saturday at
uoon. Her remains were interred
at Alta Vista cemetery Sunday
morning, the funeral services be
ing conducted by Rev. A. C.
Thomas.

Mrs. Frank Kidd died at her
home on West Broad street last
Sunday night of brain fever. Her
body was carried to Holly Springs
church, Jackson county, for inter
ment Monday. Rev. A. A. Tilly
conducted the funeral services.

of Mr. Mrs. H. W. Bradley, died
at New Holland Springs last Mon
day morning of fever. Her re
mains tvere shipped to Easley,
S. C., Monday night for interment.

Visited The Exposition.
Many of our citizens visited the Blue
Ridge and Tallulah Falls exposition at
Tullulah Falls this week, and they say
that it is a success in every
particular. The resources of North
east Georgia were on exhibition and
no doubt many good Results will be ob
tained from the exposition. General
Manager S. C. Dunlap of the Tallulah
Falls railroad was a potential factor in
the success of the affair.

The one-year-old-infant of Mr.
and Mrs. W. H. Kennedy died
near the cotton mill Wednesday
night and the body was taken to
Fiat creek church Thursday for
interment.
