Coldest Snap of the Season
The cld year weut out with a
warm touch, vut the young lady
pictared as Miss 1928, certainly
caused a loweri g of the tem
paraturc, which indicates that this
Leap Year—l92B—that the girls
wi!! be calm over their futures.
Sunday showed the (emper
ature dropping, and Monday i
freezing. The week has been
hovering around the twenties in
morning hours, but warmed
glivhtly during the day.
Automobiles froze up while
runniny, and the Garage's had
tneir hands full mending bursting
radiators
It was too much for the electric
heaters, and as a result holiday
was declared for Tuesday and for
the rest of the week. It was our
longest cold spell in years. !
Earnest Petty Dead

world would be decidedly better
