is rapidly recovering.

that Leonard James, who held a
non-commissioned officer’s place
with the 6th Regiment, has been
recommended for promotion.
Mrs. Hannah has returned to

after spending several weeks
here with her mother, Mrs, M.

B. P. Green, Superintendent of

ports their school in a flourishing

Two convicts escaped from the
Douglas County gang Sunday
night. They were Luther Evans
and Will Starr, both colored and
both serving time for man
slaughter, ^
