Another i name has , been , added ,,, to
the long list. Word comes from
another county that the brfeaking
out is “black chicken pox.” Call it

to wipe it out! Irwin county does; 1
not need it in her business.

The Dispatch orphanage was hon-
ored with an invitation to dine at
Rev. M L. Lawson’s yesterday.
Owing to vaccination, only one of
the orphans could attend. It was
one of those enjoyable dinners where
good eating is combined with cheer-
fully company, and the only sad
raoment is when parting time comes,
Yesterday while Mr. Fred. Bruce
was waiting to take the 12 o’clock
train for his home he fell in a dead
faint at the depot. He was quickly
carried to his brother’s home on Ir-

At least two notable events will

the Willingham state

for consideration. The other event
is of local interest, and—perhaps
you had better wait till the 6th to
learn what it is.
Mr. Jake W. Paulk’s cane does
not look like it has suffered from
drouth. For about six weeks he
has been hauling green cane to
Ocilla and other towns, and it finds
ready sale at remunerative figures.
It is away above the average. Think
of seventeen long, matured joints to
the stalk. Go up head, Jake!
Many of the ten and five acre
tracts in the Soldiers Colony have
been abandoned, charred pieces of
fencing and dilapidated shacks only
remaining to tell of blighted hopes.

improved little farms, with nice rest-
