Death at 112
Jacob Loyal, col - , died last
Monday after having attained
according to all accounts, the
age of one hundred and twelve
years. His son, who is himself
approaceing the 90 mile post,
gives his age at 118, but a little
calculation brings it down to
112. For several years past the
old man had almost entirely
lost his eyesight, but otherwise
he was able to work about the
yard until within a short time
before Ids death. His memory
was splendid and he could talk
interestingly, ’tis said, of his
experiences in the various wa*
periods of this country through
which he past.
He was buried last Tuesday
evening -
