* * the General Assembly, changing the time
■of holding the sessions of the legislature troin an-t
nual to bi ennial; but whereas it is proper on all
■occasions to ascertain the will of the people, when
ever it can be done without interfering with the
ordinary course of Legislation: Therefore.
Be it resolved by the Senate and Mouse of Rep
resentatives of the Stale of Georgia, in General
Assembly met, end it is hereby resolved by the
-authority of the same. That on the first Monday in
•October, 1840 die voters of this State be requested
do endorse >.n their tickets, the words “Annua,”
•or “Bi-enniel,” as they may favor the meeting of
•the Legislature every year, or once in two years
-and that the resolution be published in the new
papers in this Stale for three months before the
first Monday in October aforesaid,
