tho Treasury, with a view to obtaining an
advance of forty thousand dollars to defray
the expenses of tho Convention up to tho

lars of the funds of tho State on deposit In
one of tho banks In this city a few days
previous to the assembling of the Conven

the other available funds of tho State, was
taken out and disposed of by Governor
Jenkins just before tho meeting of the
Convention.
