gia mayors with Governor Terrell re
garding the allver service for the bat

with the Idea and he Is convinced that

Raleigh. N. Feb, —It looks
very much like the legislature of thla
state U going to reduce the passenger
rates on the three large ay sterna oper
ating In the state to two and a quarter
cent, per mile. The house passed a
tno.cent rate and when the measure
come up before the senate that body
patsed a bill which waa supposed to
make a two and a half cent flrat-claaa
und a two-cent second-clang rate on
ihe large roads, but It waa found that
the bill waa defective and would not
reduce the present rates. Committees
have been named from both bodies to
hold a conference nnd report on the
rate bill. It la more than probable that
a two and a quarter cent flat rata will
Im- recommended*. The three large eye-

Felder, the daughter of Captain C. W.
Felder, of Amertcus. In 1(00 he moved
lo Atlanta and became the senior mem
ber of the well-known Arm of Hhaw &
Camp.
Mr. Bhaw uas a devoted member nf
tha Baptist church, and for years one
