PADUCAH, KY„ Nov. 21.—The ar
rest of Albert Berry, charged with em
bezzling $3,800. was followed by the
suspension of Chief of Police Henry
; Bailey, Night Sergeant William Bea
vers and Detectives G. H. Scott and
Henley Franklin.
The action was taken by the board
of fire and police commissioners aftet
an investigation of the charges that
there had been wide-open gambling in
Paducah and Berry’s claim that he had
lost most of the money in these places.
