from 4 to 6 o'clock this afternoon at
the Capital City club, the host being as

Ragan will entertain tomorrow in honor
of Sir Thomas will assemble 20 guests.

Sir Thomas Lipton.

the decorations at the home of Mrs. A.
S W. Falklnburg in West End yesterday
afternoon, when Mrs Falklnburg ami

Sixteen young girls were guests of
Miss Elizabeth Spalding, the young
t daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Spald
ing, at a bridge party this afternoon.
' The party was given at the Piedmont
1 Driving club and the tables were placed
| in the New York room. The score
F cards were hand painted 1n girls’ heads,
and the prizes included a dainty bou
doir cap for top score, and a picture for
I second prize. A souvenir for each guest
there was a French nosegay. Dainty
refreshments were served on the card
tables at the close of the game.

Mrs. Alex W. Stirling and Miss Janet
Stirling entertained 50 guests at an
informal tea this afternoon in honor of
Mrs. Johnstone Stirling, of London,
England, who. with her husband, Cap
tain Stirling, and Miss Jeanne Stirling,
of Edinburgh, are the house guests of
Mis. Stirling. The tea was given in the
paim room of the Georgian Terrace.
