Steel Frame Arrives
For Healey Building-
seventeen Cars on Hand—Many
People Seek Homes—Lot Sold
in Brookhaven Section.
Kive-more carloads of steel arrived
in the city yesterday for the frame
work of the Healey office building-
opposite the Postoffice. This makes
a total of 17 carloads, 12 cars hav
ing arrived previously. The amount
i on hand, declared Mr. Healey, would
jHLhe sufficient to fit out the basement
H.nly, which is a large undertaking In
j Itself. Other cars will come in from
f tim e to time.

foundation workers virtually finished
their task and this week there has

Permits for Homes.
Substantial homes continue to be
built in the various residence dis
tricts of Atlanta, and it is believed
that the total will reach 1,500 during
the year. Among those applying to
day for permits were R. H. William
son who will build a two-story frame
dwelling on West Tenth Street at
a cost of $4,000, and \T. P. Jackson,
who will build a one-story frame
dwelling at 16 East Avenue, costing
$3,500. John Starr, of 16 East Avenue,
will make additions at 541 Highland
Avenue costing $2,500. Home-owners
are installing a great many furnaces.
Permits for a dozen w r ere asked to
day of the building inspector, to be
installed by the Moncrief Furnace
Company.
Renting Continues Good.
Local renting agencies report a big
scarcity in desirable houses for rent
or lease. Ralph O. Cochran declared
"to-day that he could rent twice the
number that he usually rents if lie
l had them on hand, and M. S. Rankin.
