To Widen Roswell Road.
The proposition of widening the
Roswell Road from Buckhead to Pied
mont Road (formerly Plaster Bridge
Road) has been revived. A year or
two ago this matter was agitated. All
property owners except one agreed to
give 10 to 20 feet, and the opposition
of the single owner blocked the pro
ject. Now JE. T. I.uckie, of the Holmes
& Ruckle Realty Company, has
taken up the matter again, and he
expresses confidence in the outcome.
Mr. Ruckle’s idea is to lay out the
Roswell Road so that whenever the
demand Is great enough on the part
of the people along the route, a car
line can be built to Roswell. Either
this or the street car company can
leave the wide thoroughfare ti ve
hicular traffic and establish a private
right-of-way close by.
