important social event of the
week was the marriage of Miss
Miriam Jones to Mr. Herbert Lin-
wood Dickerson, of Cordele, Monday
night. The wedding was at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Trussed. Rev.
J. W. Arnold, pastor of the Methodist
Church here, performed the ceremony.

were the attendants. The wedding

Airs. Jennie Gray Draughon re
turned to Reynolds Tuesday after a
visit to Aliss Hattie Simpson.
Afiss Hattie Taylor, of Fitzgerald,
has been the guest of Miss Susie
Leonard during the week. She and
Miss Leonard and a few others were
entertained at a 6 o’clock dinner given
in her honor by Mr. and Airs. J. A.
Bryan Monday night. The others

One of the most enjoyable of the
summer dances given by our nearby
little town of Geneva was that Tues
day evening by J. E. Bartlett and
Walter Adams at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. W. S. Stinson, in compliment to
the young ladles of Geneva. The
punch bowl was presided over by
Misses Willie Kate Edge and Gussie
Lee Cook. Ices and cakes were served
by Mrs. W. S. Stinson and Miss Hazel

A social event of this week which
came as a surprise was the marriage
of Miss Miriam Jones of Mount Ida.

of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Trussed
on College avenue Afonday night. The
ceremony was performed by the Rev.
J. W. Arnold, pastor of the Method
ist Church. C. K. Mahone was best
man and Mrs. Li Ivan Brown matron
of honor.
Mrs. Dickerson is the daughter of
Mr. and Alls. J. W. T. Jones, of Mount
Ida. Mr. Dickerson formerly resided
at Talbotton and in Atlanta.
