through Charles E. DuPree, of the
W. L. & John O. DuPree Real Estate
Agency, Mr. Hightower’s handsome
two-story residence on the Brlarcliff
road in the Druid Hills section, for
$30,000 cash, or at the rate of $200 a
front foot, including the value of the
dwelling. Mr. Robinson now resides
at No. 172 Forrest avenue, but he
will move Into his new home at once,
and Mr. Hightower is expected ♦*»
build again.

Labor Day’s Interruption.
Labor Day Monday closed all the
banks and the City Hall, and there
was a temporary cessation in general
real estate trading. The agents re
port a bigger number of inquiries,
however, than at any time during the
past few months, and it is expected
that the fall trade will be brisk.
Much County Work.
Fulton County’s convicts are un
usually busy at this time on streets,
roads and sewers. Shelby Smith,
chairman of the Board of Couniy
Commissioners, reports that Simpson
street paving was far west as the
Louisville and Nashville Railroad,
and the Jonesboro road paving will
be completed this week. A lease con
tract has been signed with the Nich
ols Construction Company for a steam
shovel for excavating o ‘he McDan
iel street sewer. The sewer will be
continued 2,000 feet from the pres
ent outfall to the Atlanta and West
Point Belt Line.
The other county steam shovel Is
on the Butler street and Highland
avenue sewer w’ork.

Marietta Auction Tuesday.
A large number of Atlanta people
have signified their intention of attend
ing Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock the
auction sale of eighteen acreage tracts
which J. B. Jackson will s|fll in the
McCravy subdivision. The auction will
be held before the courthouse door at
Marietta.
The tracts contain from one to twenty
acres, and front the Marietta electric
car line at Turner’s Crossing and Fair
Oaks, three miles south of Marietta.
Hugh Richardson Returns.
Hugh Richardson returned from
Toxaway Sunday and w as in his office
in the Atlanta National Bank Build
ing Monday morning. Mr. Richard
son has built a summer cottage at
Toxaway and has been out of the local
