and the new structure should be com

George W. Parrott, the well-known
financier, has changed his plane on
the $12,000 bungalow at the north
west corner of Peachtree and Sev
enth streets, and instead of finishing
his house, will probably erect a hand
some apartment. The foundations of
stone had cost approximately $1,000.
Some time ago Mr. Parrott planned
a ten-story apartment hotel for this
corner, and It is expected that he will
now build such a structure, or a
handsome apartment house.
The old Powers two-story frame
house, which formerly stood on this
lot, has been rolled back to the rear
of the premises.

A comparison of real estate and y
building figures for August with the j
same period In 1912 shows a general
decrease, but realty men expect brisk
trade to make up the deficit next
month. The number of realty trans

total amount $2,632,118, and In 1912,
938, and $3,010,606. Mortgages can

Settlers Are Coming.
A large number of settlers will soon
come to Georgia from the Canadian
Northwest to till parts of a 16,000-
acre farm tract, if plans of the W. L.
& John O. DuPree Real Estate Agen
cy do not miscarry. This agency has
an inquiry from Saskatchewan rela
tive to a 10,000 to 20,000-acre tract
that Is wanted for immigrants. Ac
cording to Information, there have
been three poor crops In the wheat
belt of that section, and the Canadian
farmers are looking for more fertile
fields.
