Mr. Robert Maddox said a few weeks ago:
“Georgia is the most prosperous State in the Union to-day,
and Georgia people should take advantage of this opportunity to
invest their profits, not in this, that and the other thing which
may perish or deteriorate in value, but should invest it to a large
degree in real estate.”
Mr. Maddox also said: “The bank clearings of Atlanta
have showed an increase of $1,000,000 per week for the last
eight weeks.”
Mr. Maddox is a man who is constantly “behind the gun*
of finance, railroadism, the interests of Atlanta and this section.
What he says is like “potted” wisdom.
The Southern Railroad has six lines in and out of Atlanta, covering the territory as specified below, and all
these points can be reached without the $2.00 per car switching charges, and if you will look this list of districts
over, you will immediately see that you have a connection through the Southern and the A., B. & A. that covers
more hundreds of thousands of square miles of territory than possibly another system in the United States.
