Reldsvllle, Ga., Aug. 17.—Thomas E.
Rogers, of Shiloh, near here, was fa
tally crushed by a timber wagon Tues
day afternoon. The remains were In
terred at Shiloh. A skid, on which a
load of timber was being drugged by a
cart, rolled, catching nls foot nnd
throwing him on his face. The skid
rolled on his back, breaking his leg
and thigh and Injuring him Internally.
NIGHT WATCHMAN
KILLED BY TRAIN
William Humphries, a night watch
man In the Central of Georgia railroad
yards, was struck Thursday night by
a freight car which had been ‘‘kicked"
from tho main train and dragged for
a good distance down the track.
Humphries’ body was literally tom to
pieces, until it was almost unrecog
nizable. The body was carried to Pat
terson’s undertaking establishment.
