WILSON MIZNER HITS BROADWAY
AND A STRANGE, LURID HAZE
MARKS HIS PATH AT NIGHT
By I'rlvntK 14*11 sell Wire.
Seu- York, Aug. 17.—The strange,
lurid hate hanging over Broadway last
night ivaa due to the reappearance In
town of Wilson Mltner, of California,
uh,, atlaehed Mrs. Charles T. Yerkea
unto himself.
-Oh. heavens! Will this awful noto
riety never cease’" cried Mr. Mltner
despairingly when asked If he had
ceased quarreling with his wife. "It
Is such an awful thing to be harrassed
this way. Why can't the public let us
alone. I love my wife devotedly and
she loves me dearly. Our case Is one
„f love If there ever was one and it Is
had to be misunderstood and have my
motives impugned.
It Is not true that I was thrown out
of my wife's house In Chlcogo. It Is
true there has been some slight trou-
ble, but It will come right In time.
Mrs. Yerkes—I mean Mrs. Mlsner—Is
getting better rapidly, and within ten
(lays will be able to Join me here, and
then we will build a little home down
In Bensnnhurst and go there to live In
seclusion and away from the noise and
chatter of Broadway."
Mr. Mlzner said he was doing well
In Snn Francisco, where he Is e con
tractor.
"Our enemlei have tried to make
trouble but have failed,” said Mr. Mla-
ner. "One of them has committed sul*
old#, Ths other Is worse ofr. Nothing
can come between us now, and our fu
ture Is one bright, glad dream."
