a guarantee of the strength of com

law- legal reserves will be held In
trust by the state and failures of such
companies will be Impossible.

The law requires legal reserve in
surance companies to deposit bonds or
other securities, considered by the

The new law gives to Insurance com
panies the right to deposit securities
amounting to the reserve value of all

credit Interests and caused a local cred
it ofllce to be established and operated
by the Buslnesa Men's Mutual Protec
tive Association, which places all busi
ness people locally In touch with one
another, and this city In touch with all
other cities and towns of the entire
country, as thla association has nu
merous offices and alt are under one
management.
City Judge Primary.
Barry Wright has been elected chair
man of the county Democratic execu
tive committee, and J. 8. Crawford,
secretary, .
The committee called a primary for
September 12, to nominate a candidate
for Judge of the city court. This Is
the same date that the election In
East Rome will be held to decide the
question of annexation.
There are four candidates In the race
for city court judge, as follows; Judge
Harper Hamilton, the present Incum
bent: Junius Hlllyer, W. J- Nunnally
and J. H. Keese.
Holloway Will Recover.
J. J. Holloway, who was Injured
Wednesday night by falling from a
trestle. If Is thoughb will recover. His
Injuries are not as serious as were
thought to be.
Smith Is Improving.
