of the fall season at Carlton, Ga.,
that of Mis* Mary Annlce Witcher to
Mr. Edwin Goodwin Kilpatrick,
Newborn, Ga., which took place ut the
home of the bride’s brother, Mr. J. D.
Long, Thursday afternoon'at 3:80
o’clock, the Rev. M. S. Weaver, of Lex
ington, Gn.. officiating.
The wedding was a quiet one, tl(ere
being only the relatives of the bride
and groom present.
The bridal couple entered the'parlor
to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding
marqh, played by Miss Martha Oble
Stevens, a cousin of the bride.
During the ceremony the Intermezzo
from (’avalleria Rusttcana was softly
rendered.
The decorations of the house were
most artistic, Southern smllax being
used in quantities and splendid chrys
anthemums giving a vivid touch of col-
, In the parlor, where the ceremony
was performed, the decorations were
altogether In white chrysanthemums
and ferns, being massed upon the man
tel and placed-in tall vases upon shelves
and cabinets. In the reception hall

Here magnificent pink chrysanthemums
and fern* were used. The dining room
was made beautiful with yellow- chrys
anthemum*. and the smllax which wits
aught with yellow chrysanthemums
and roses. .
The bride was lovely In a gown of
chiffon cloth, made princess*. She car
ried a great arm bouquet of white
chrysanthemums. After the ceremony
Mrs. Kilpatrick changed her gown for
u traveling-dress of dark blue cloth,

train for their home In Newborn. -

During the early afternoon Mr. and
Mr*. Osgood left for an extended bri
dal trip North, and will later go to
Hopedale, their future home.
Mrs. Osgood, as Miss Branch, was
one of the most popular society, girls
of Augusta, and In her marriage the
most cordial Interest was felt. She Is
a charming young woman, having In
herited a gracious manner and beauti
ful traits from her mother.
Among the out-of-town guests In the
city for the wedaing were Mr. anil Mrs. I brother of the bride.

The house was prettily decorated for
the occasion. Miss Kate Sheridan, sis
ter of the bride, was maid of honor,

presided at the piano and Mr*. Henry
Sheridan sang. Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun
left soon after the ceremony for Flor

Aldridge were united in marriage on
Wednesday evening at the home of tho
father of the bride. Mr. J. D. Brennan,
east of Columbus. In the presence nf a
large number of guests. Dr. I. S.

best man was Mr. W. H. Stanfield, of
